Objectives

The main objectives of the proposed project are as follows:

1. Creating a software module that integrates several CCTV data sources into the processing loop, covering both existing CCTV infrastructure and future deployments;
2. Develop and implement AI machine learning methods that allow the detection of bad quality produce and provide alarms accordingly to human operators;
3. Develop and implement AI machine learning methods that allow the detection of shelves that are empty or about to be emptied and provide alarms accordingly to human operators;
4. Develop and implement AI machine learning methods that allow the real-time monitoring and detection of suspect behaviour on certain aisles, that contain expensive products and provide alarms accordingly to human operators;
5. Develop a SMART data aggregation and fusion module with a dedicated dashboard that can reduce the operating costs and increase productivity and efficiency of the staff by providing easy to understand and useful information regarding the current operational status;
6. Integrate and validate the proposed solution in a real-world retail scenario.
